Inner City Health Center is always looking for new volunteers! If you choose to volunteer you will be joining a dynamic group of people who are committed to delivering quality medicine with respect and care
for the individual. We have volunteer openings for the following positions: Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Medical Assistants, Dentists, Dental Assistants, and Dental
Hygienists. For these volunteer positions we ask for a minimum one year commitment with at least two half days a month.

As a volunteer you can reasonably expect:

1. An understanding that you are volunteering your time and energy. Although volunteering is high on your priority list, we know that you have other responsibilities in your life and we want to respect that.
2. To be a part of a team effort. We need to work together, with cooperation and collaboration.
3. Wise use of your time.
4. Prompt return of phone calls and prompt responses to requests for information.
5. To be consulted on those things that affect your volunteer role.
6. Complete, concise, and accurate information.
7. To know the parameters within which we, as a staff, can work. You will be told when we cannot do something because of time constraints that we have.
8. Agreed upon deadlines to be met with notification if this is not possible.

As a staff we can reasonably expect:

1. Regular attendance and promptness.
2. Neat appearance and proper behavior.
3. Confidentiality.
4. Willingness to express thoughts and feelings.
5. Fulfillment of commitments within agreed-upon request.
6. Access by phone or visitation.
7. Sensitivity to staff's other responsibilities.
