Inner City Health Center provides quality medical, dental, and counseling services to the medically uninsured and very low-income families of metropolitan Denver and beyond.
Our programs include:
Adult Medical Care: Provides preventative health care for adults including physical examinations, maintenance of chronic diseases, wellness checks and cancer screenings. Our Adult Medical Care also includes The Diabetic Program which has been in operation since 2001 to address the high incidence of diabetes among minorities and the low income.
Prenatal Services: Provides pregnancy tests, initial examinations, and comprehensive prenatal care through the third trimester as well as maternal, obstetric, neonatal, and postpartum medical care. Inner City Health Center offers specific attention to women and their unborn children who are at high risk for prematurity and birth defects. We partner with St. Anthony Hospitals and the St. Anthony Family Medicine Residency Program.
Pediatric Services: Provides quality primary, comprehensive outpatient well and sick child care including neonatal, acute and chronic illness treatment and appropriate immunizations. ICHC emphasizes preventative and diagnostic services and focuses on certain chronic conditions like asthma.
Dental Services: Provides cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, and extractions. We stress the importance of regular care and emphasize improving oral hygiene and overall oral health for all ages. We provide dental services at our main location: 3800 York Street and at New Hope dental located at: 4200 West Conejos Place.
Counseling: In order to provide health care to the whole person we have counselors available to attend to the emotional and spiritual well being of our patients and their families in the areas of patient advocacy, crisis intervention, counseling, social work, and health education.
Congregational Health Ministry: Provides access and continuity of quality health care by reaching out to local congregations. This program focuses on health promotion, disease prevention and early detection of heart disease, diabetes and breast cancer in high-risk populations.
